Comprehending the health care organization better at the local level is vital and significant when planning the application and enactment of Evidence-Based Practices (EBP) because of several reasons. For the EBP to start operating, it requires resources, such as capital and funds, which come from the local level. Also, skilled manpower is also crucial for the implementation of EBP as it provides leadership. Hospitals should have enough medical personnel like physicians, nurses, and other professionals who are important for implementation of EBP. It is important to know if the health care system’s organizational structure supports the operation of evidence-based practices (Bonham et al., 2014). It is important to understand if there will be any significant impact on the health care organization following the implementation of the EBP. Therefore, the culture and norms of the health care structure at the local level is very key and will influence the operations of the EBP. This culture includes the local community’s traditions assimilated in the health care organization and policies applied in human resource management. It is important to put into consideration the working environment of the health care structure in which the EBP is going to be implemented (Warren et al., 2016).
EBP topics should be clearly understood so that nurses and other healthcare personnel can adopt EBP successful at the healthcare organization. These topics can be understood easily and will also take less time. Research has shown that the readiness and preparedness of a health care facility leadership to apply evidence-based practices in their treatment processes fosters and enhances the availability of other important resources, such as human resources that is skilled manpower, human capital, and also training opportunities (Green and Tones, 2009)....
