Based on your Logic Model, present a brief summary of the health care barrier or issue presented: (a) Describe the problem, (b) Describe your proposed solution. Briefly discuss how your proposed solution will resolve barrier or issue for in health care, and (c) Discuss the expected outcomes for you initiating your proposal.
This assignment requires that you support your position by referencing four to six scholarly resources. At least three of your supporting references must be from peer-reviewed resources.

* Description of the problem
The emergence of antibiotic resistance has thwarted efforts hitherto made in the discovery of antibiotic treatments, which transformed the field of modern medicine. As existing antimicrobial treatments become less effective, there is a need for a paradigm shift from the current approaches to the prevention and treatment of infections. While there have been significant developments in global healthcare, low and middle-class countries (LMICs) still lag in terms of access to quality care and effective antimicrobial drugs due to impoverished health care funding. Although the consequences of drug antimicrobial resistance (AMR) are well known, millions of people in LMICs have no access to proper antibiotic treatment (Aslam et al., 2018). Besides, antimicrobial resistance (AMR) as a result of misuse or overuse of antimicrobials is increasingly becoming a barrier to access to effective care. The UN General Assembly and leaders from the G7 and G20 countries have declared AMR a global crisis and adopted universal health coverage as a strategy to achieve sustainable development goals. Bloom et al (2017) recommend the implementation of policies that will provide access to effective antimicrobial treatment to reduce risks of emerging infectious diseases and the spread of AMR. Therefore, multidisciplinary approaches to dealing with AMR are required particularly in the health sector as well as agricultural and environmental settings.
* Proposed solution and how it will resolve AMR
The solution to the issue of AMR will be based on setting up surveillance and monitoring groups and involving key stakeholders in improving methods of effective methods of dealing with the problem. It will also require the identification of areas of improvement such as increasing scientific knowledge base and funding, especially in resource-poor areas. Recommendations for policies is a multidisciplinary approach that will ensure that populations have access to effective treatment and reduced risks of emerging resistance (Dadgostar, 2019).
