A Greater Emphasis on Spiritual Care in Healthcare Research
In recent decades, there has been a greater emphasis on spiritual care in healthcare research. These have provided evidence that introspective, spiritual, or religious relevant factors and needs increase with an existing illness and that these needs heighten with the severity of the disease and the prospect of death. Spiritual care is a type of health care that helps the inner person (spirit/soul) cope with the health issues that they or a loved one is dealing with.
