It’s safe to say that there are certain ethical obligations of those who work in a healthcare center. Ethical principles and policies that serve as the bases for public health laws can and should exist simultaneously (Sargent & Smith-Morris, 2006). This is because if no ethical principles exist, then the overall healthcare system will get seriously impacted. In fact, ethical prescriptions are found in almost all cultures like the oath and associated works of Hippocrates in ancient Greece, as well as the works of the medieval Jewish philosopher Maimonides. This makes it clear that ethical duties are must to be fulfilled by all medical and non-medical experts. While implementing new policies, the hospital management should take ethical principles and values into consideration and should encourage the staff (such as doctors, nurses and others) to not get into any violation.
