The project seeks to evaluate the effectiveness of nurse inclusive teams compared to specialized nurses to manage post-operative weight gain when caring for bariatric surgery patients during the period of recovery. Appropriate nursing care is critical to the success of nursing interventions, but few studies look into the differences between the two options. The project sought to determine the effectiveness of these strategies. To ensure the success of the project among the stakeholders, there was approval of the proposal by the hospital administration and nurse managers. The stakeholders were informed about the project and this facilitated implementation of changes to improve post-operative nursing care practices.
