Introduction
The culmination of any new hires is their introduction to their designated roles or duties. The management needs to play a pivotal role in ensuring that these new members are seamlessly integrated or absorbed into the system. To make this possible, the management therefore, needs to inculcate the organizational culture and values, as well as the relevant role training, to these individuals. Acquisition of relevant skills will enable them have an easy time catching up and being productive members of the company. It is indeed true that these new employees are qualified through the skills that they have acquired on merit; however, there is the need to add more training, so as to harness or synchronize the skills they have, with the on-job expectations or requirements. Additonally, they will also need refresher training, to keep them sharp. This paper is a proposal to the supervisor, to create a training workshop for these new employees so as to make them easily acclimatize with the job.
It is important to bridge the gap between the current competence of the new employees and the expected objectives of the training program. Failure to do this can result in repetition of information, which will require more resources and take longer than planned. In the end, assessment of the employee skills will be crucial in gauging the knowledge and skills acquisition, as well as the benefits that come with it in the longer term (Gregorio, n.d.). Training will entail dividing the components into smaller bits, use of visual aids, and the dissemination of only mall bits of information at a time to increase understanding. Additionally, questions will be highly encouraged.
