A Summary of Green Initiatives for Campbell City
Campbell City is a commitment towards environmental sustainability. The city’s green initiative focuses on key priority area focusing on sustainable planning, energy conservation, waste reduction, stewardship, and good environment management. One of the key components of the city green initiative reduction of greenhouse gas emission for the community and ensure the city achieves carbon neutrality within its municipal operations. Campbell City is a signatory to the BC climate action charter requiring cities to offset the greenhouse gas emission to its facilities, fleets and its traditional services to zero emission (City of Campbell River, 2013).
Recommendations for Creating a Greener, Sustainable and Livable Community
