Introduction Using language to effectively communicate a message to an audience has been the most relied on factor used to address certain issues in a community. The artistic nature in which the messages are conveyed through the languages such as English is quickly deteriorating because of the wave of technology that has dominated the different business sectors in the world. Writing skills have become under siege due to the increased involvement in business and development matters rather than communication skills. Efforts therefore have to be made to teach workers on the use of their language in appropriate terms when using it in writing situations (Katz, Haras, & Blaszczynski, 2010). My Take on the Issue I do agree with the article considering the impact that technology has had on writing in business. The continual interaction between people from different communities has led to an increase in the use of casual language in the work place. Communication has been made easier because of the use of the internet which consists of e-mail and social media as the main ways of communicating with each other. Emails and social media sites emphasize on using casual terms in order to relate with each other. The growing habits within the current generations move on to their later years even when they join the work force. They become accustomed to using casual language and therefore they abandon the formal language that they should use when handling business matters.
