Experiential Event – For Mice Businessmen

EXPERIENTIAL EVENT :
- Create an experiential event for the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) to attract international
business events, conferences and exhibitions to Thailand using the latest trend in experiential marketing: EVENTS FOR
GOOD.
to attract high-end, citywide trade shows and conferences using an experiential event that focuses on social good, giveback and community-building.
Event aim: To highlight Thailand as a premier destination for meetings and events while at the same time demonstrating an investment in people, social giving and responsibility for global communities.
Participants: Conference and event planners, organizers and designers
Location: Venues and destination for the experiential event should be relevant to the market, and the purpose of the event (give-back and destination promotion).
Timing: There are no minimum time restrictions on the event, but it should be no longer than two days.
Program and content: Using a mix of education and experience, this event should not only educate meeting professionals on why Thailand is a strategically smart destination for large-scale trade shows, conferences, events and fairs but should also demonstrate the concept of “events for good,” and leave attendees with a positive experience of giving back to the community and society.
Post-event engagement: The event does not end on the last day. There should be a clear plan on how to keep the audience engaged and booking business with Thailand.
This is like a conference event for MICE business.
The objective better be about gastronomy/Thai food+culture.
Keynotes are - 1.) High-end people/participants in the conference (they're willing to pay for the event, but it has to WOW them and worth it)
2.) something that give back to the community
3.) sustainability (if you can include it in a way)
4.) note that the participants are the event designers, so they would like to see something that inspire them for their next future conference or something (*** and they're are MICE businessmen from other countries that are not Thailand), so they would like to know and see something different from their home/culture
The example that's attached is about food and location was free to pick. But mine has to be in Thailand, so the objective should be about Thai food and Thai culture
Objective: 1. To promote/support Thai food to be known by focusing on using the ingredient from communities to promote thai food and make the sustainability to the community.
(if you pick the local of North Thailand, maybe talk about the state of "Chiang Mai")
2. Raise the standards of Thai food by using environmentally friendly materials.
(straw and glass that made from bamboo tree)
3. To disseminate the culture of flavors of Thai food in the region
4. To support the use of natural materials

Location: If you pick Chiang Mai, then the conference and the accommodation should be in Chiang Mai; like the hotel/convention
or Ayuttaya (but it's doesn't have a good 5 stars hotel)
as the participants are the high-end, the hotel has to be 5 STARS
and find the venue the fits around 700-12,00 participants (650 is fine too)

For the conference name, I was going to come up with "Grab Green Clean Food"
Grab- when you're finish eating you just grab your trash
Green- natural material
but you can leave it blank for my work , it's ok
for the post-event engagement: come up with activities that allow the people from the community that you choose to participate in it as well. Let's say if you choose Ayuttaya, the participate from the conference can go harvest with the community and do something else that's make them feel a bit more high-end. After that having a dinner, could be in a yard that's in a thai temple in the local place and decorate it with thai material like if you choose Chiang Mai, you the North Thai Silk as a tablecloth .
Note: it doesn't have to be a conference in Chiang Mai or Ayuttaya, it could be in Phuket but the culture of the province will be different, Pattaya (Chonburi), or some where else in Thailand that makes the participants from other countries feel high-end but also can touch the live of Thai people in that community. The hotel has to be 5 STARS, the hotel that the participant will stay over and the place that they will do the conference can be in the different place but it has to be close area.
