1 Artist name, year of birth, country of birth
Paul Jackson Pollock was a painter born on January 28, 1912. He was born in Cody, Wyoming, United States, but was brought up in Arizona and also in California (Sachant et al. 4). Jackson Pollock started studying painting in Los Angeles at Manual Arts High School. Pollock was known for his way of painting which included drip style as well as the Abstract Expressionism. He also contributed his paintings in different exhibitions of abstract work and Surrealist.

2 What is Jackson Pollock’s primary media?
Jackson Pollock paintings are based on abstract expressionism where images are realistically represented, but the artist used shapes and color to make up the subject (Sachant et al. 124).

Jackson Pollock’s artwork was cut short by his death, but his paintings are still available in the art market and also displayed in different locations. Pollock’s fictional painting was displayed in the movie The Accountant where a male character in this movie owns this painting throughout the movie and later gifts this painting to a female character at the end of the movie. His work was also displayed at Studio Paul Facchetti.
4 Write a short paragraph about why this artist interests you
Jackson Pollock was a major artist during his time, and his art was unique. What interest me about Pollock is that his paintings were very exceptional and inspired different people. Also, his dedication to his work and how he allowed other prominent artists like Thomas Hart Benton and Peggy Guggenheim to direct him in his career is very inspiring. Pollock was magnificent by how he did his painting on a flat surface to enable him to approach the paintings from all sides.
