Sleep is an unconscious state of the brain and the body in which a person is unable to move or think something. When it comes to accessing sleep, I would like to see the patterns of brain waves using the Encephalogram (EEG), and observe whether the eyeball of the patient moves and slightly changes its position or not. The factors that contribute to poor sleep are depression, anxiety, and feelings of restlessness, which can be an indication of chronic disease.
Discuss the risks of hypnotic drugs in the older population.
When used abnormally, the hypnotic drugs can cause various physical and mental problems in the older population. For example, they increase the risks of falling and the number of fall-related injuries. Also, they can cause serious cognitive problems and disturbs the functioning of different body organs. Studies also reveal that the unwise use of hypnotic drugs can lead to insomnia and severe behavioral changes in the older population.
Describe the physiological, psychological & social implications of dysphagia.
There are various psychological, social and physiological implications of dysphagia, such as it destroys one’s lifestyle and prevents him from availing the social opportunities.
