Amy Gambling is associated with the need to get greater things in return, this explains why gamblers develop a euphoria for more money. As stated by Amy, gamblers can spend their time excessively by engaging in a secretive activity like gambling .When one loses his job and have no money to cater for his basic expenses, he can turn to gambling. This is the same pattern among those with SUD (Cappuzzi & Stauffer, 2016). Gamblers are likely to drink or abuse drugs when they celebrate a win or even relieve depression caused by losing money a result of gambling. Since gambling is a quick way of obtaining money, those addicted to drugs may see gambling as a source to generate more money to support their drug use (Cappuzzi & Stauffer, 2016). Loretta As noted by Loretta, that we need to acknowledge the fact that gambling addiction and substance use disorder can affect both adolescents and adults. Childhood experiences play a significant role as some of the risk factors of SUD (Ong, Peh &Guo, 2016).
