Leadership in Healthcare
Leadership remains a vital tool in healthcare outcomes amidst technological advancements. As healthcare facilities advance their operations toward technological-based outcomes, motivations increase to instill the ideal leadership strategies. Presently, healthcare is increasingly venturing into nanomedicine technologies as part of healthcare informatics. Achieving the full implementation of nanomedicine, however, demands strategic inputs right from planning to implementation. Partly, such innovation requires the formation of a well-led team to oversee its implementation. In this draft, emphasis is put on leadership and its impacts on the implementation of nanomedicine as an element of informatics innovation technology in healthcare. Implementation of organization-wide changes must accommodate the ideal leadership skills and an insight into avenues of diffusing the associated challenges lest the plan fails.
The Team
A multi-professional team is required to oversee the implementation of nanomedicine in a healthcare facility. The team must consist of an administrator. The administrator is the representative of the top management in the team. The administrator should link the recommendations of the team to the resources from the top management. The second member of the team should be an informatics professional. The choice to develop or purchase a technological system should lie on an individual with expertise in the systems (Weeks et al., 2020). The informatics professionals create a link between the technological tools and the healthcare needs. The informatics professional can be accompanied by an IT professional to give insights into aspects such as security and data structures. The other members of the team will include representatives from other departments and professions such as a physician, a pharmacist, a clinical nurse, and a psychologist, among other professionals. The team must be highly diversified because the implementation of nanomedicine technology should trigger changes in at least every aspect of clinical practice.
Leadership Qualities
Multiple leadership qualities are needed to implement nanomedicine in contemporary healthcare facilities. Primarily, the leaders must be visionary. Technology changes consistently. As such, leaders must predict the possible clinical setting factors in the future after the implementation is complete. Leaders in this project must also be conflict managers (Kah, 2021). A team consisting of multiple professionals is susceptible to wrangles and disagreements. Solving conflicts is akin to achieving the goals of the team. Leaders should also be motivated in such a project. The project will showcase aspects of failures that require insightful motivation to overcome (Byrom et al., 2020). Finally, leaders will also be required to stay transformational to influence individuals into adopting the changes.
