The research paper “Delirium: Why are Nurses Confused?” will be discussed in this paper, specifically its review of the literature. The main purpose of the research is the evaluation of competency and self-perception with regards to the recognition and treatment of delirium. This is important because the lack of sufficient knowledge in detecting delirium during its early stages will hinder the nurses in giving the quality care that every patient should be able to have.
