For this assignment, you will create a guide you can share with your peers in this class. Your guide will be called “Five Ways to Create a Presentation to Remember.” Feel free to be creative as you build your guide. There are no right or wrong ideas to include in your guide, and this should be a reflection of what you have learned so far in Section 2 of the course.
Your guide should list five best practices with approximately a half-page description of each one. Be sure to justify each best practice, describing it using scholarly writing by including data, evidence, and supporting sources. In addition, be sure to display your professional writing skills by formatting your guide in a visually appealing way that your audience will enjoy and find easy to follow (APA format is not required for your guide, other than for the format of your sources). Please be sure to cite your sources within the guide that you create. Citations can be done unobtrusively (such as in a smaller font) with the design of your guide in mind.
Length: 2-3 pages, or one trifold brochure, or one visually appealing handout (be creative!)
References: At least 5 scholarly sources are required, with a minimum of 1 source supporting each best practice. Be sure to cite your sources within the guide itself in addition to a reference list.

Creating a memorable presentation can be a daunting task for many. One can have very informative content in their presentation but leave no mark on the audience. So, how do you prepare a memorable presentation? Below are five best practices that you can incorporate to help you create a presentation worth remembering.
1 Prepare Thoroughly
An unprepared speaker quickly loses the interest of the audience. Raja (2017) indicates that when a speaker is better prepared, there is a limited chance of going off-track, making mistakes, or getting confused. Further, even if these things do happen, the speaker can recover quickly and gain the attention of the audience. To be thoroughly prepared for the presentation, make sure you conduct enough research on your topic and get the relevant evidence. This will allow you to engage with the audience comfortably because you have more information.
Also, preparation involves practicing for the presentation. Practicing your speech in front of a small audience allows you to gain confidence in how you express yourself and deliver your message (Raja, 2017). Make sure you are audible, eloquent, and engaging. Practice makes perfect, so practice several times before your presentation.
2 Structure your Presentation
Having a structure for your presentation can be very helpful in creating a lasting impression among your audience. According to Babik and Luther (2020), organizing or structuring the presentation helps the audience follow what the speaker is saying. When there is a structure, the audience can track the speaker's progress more easily, thus allowing them to keep up with the speaker. In addition, having a structured presentation allows the speaker to stay on track, and this can be especially useful when the speaker needs to have short sessions to keep the audience engaged.
There are many ways of structuring a presentation. Babik and Luther (2020) recommend having an introduction, a content/ body section, and a conclusion. This allows the speaker to make a lasting impression at each stage of the presentation. Langlois (n.d.)indicates that presenting the positive parts of the presentation first is also crucial because the first seconds of a presentation are always memorable to the audience. As such, another way to structure the presentation can be showing the positive aspects of your position idea followed by the negatives.
3 Use Visuals Aids Effectively
The use of visual aids in oral presentations is usually encouraged. However, visual aids should be used to complement your text/ oral presentation, not replace them.
