Question #1: Discuss the main tenets of the article and ways that you may use some of the strategies or share specific strategies that you already use with children as a childhood educator.
The main tenets of the article include the various ways through care givers can help children in developing self-control and avoid developing a damaging behavior when they get angry. The article also appreciates that not all the strategies indicated work effectively for all children, but this cannot be used to rule out the efficiency of the strategies. One strategy may work for one child but fail to work for another, all depending on the individual characteristics of the children. Therefore, these strategies can only be identified as ideas of teaching children self-control and not necessarily the only approaches of doing the same.
As a childhood educator, I would use all the strategies outlined in the article. This is because I understand that the children I teach have different characteristics, and so there is no single strategy that can work for all of them.
