Many of us took a fieldtrip in 7th or 8th grade to a museum or a longer class trip to another city, and had a social as well as academic component to the event. These were memorable trips.
You are going to create something just as memorable, but for a group of students who need to be challenged continually to use their intellect and other skills.
You are a teacher of 20 gifted children. You are teaching a field-based lesson. You may choose the grade. Students will take this fieldtrip as a culminating lesson to a Humanities, Social Studies, Health or Science/Math class. Your assignment is to bring an aspect of the global community into your classroom for students to explore.

plan a 45- minute field-based lesson for your class. You have the world to explore-virtually. You can use interactive sites such as museums, galleries, institutions, or nature parks as your classroom. Explore the Internet to find a place to go. This activity is not about merely going to a new place or seeing a show and reporting back on the sights. Instead, offer advanced and extension levels of thinking in this lesson so students are fully engaged and challenged throughout this fieldtrip.
In terms of differentiation, focus on auditory, visual and kinesthetic components that you could incorporate.
