Deep Understanding of Communication Styles and Techniques

The transactional communication model is always utilized for interpersonal communication. This is where message senders and recipients should be active simultaneously to assure open communication. This form of communication allows communicators to develop relationships, involve in dialogues to generate communities, form self-concept, and construct intercultural associations through exchanging messages. The Video presents parties (a teacher and students) who communicate and convey messages or ideas clearly. Communication flows conveniently between the communicating parties as the receiver can comprehend the sender’s message easily. There is also turn-taking since one party communicates before the other one responds (Sfmetalmaster, 2010). An applicable example is my practice will be communicating with students at their personal levels to understand how they are doing. Future classroom applications regarding this communication example will be inevitable.

This is to imply that communication can be verbal, non-verbal, or in the written form. The receiver can understand information conveyed using any of the channels. When communicating, a combination of the channels can result in effective communication, and a better understanding of the information conveyed. The Video includes an interaction of the teacher and her students from the classroom perspective. The teaching in instructing students using multiple channels for them to learn different concepts. Examples of the channels in the Video include learning through writing, observing images or videos, answering questions, and discussions with fellow students and the teacher (Edutopia, 2017).
