Club culture involves key musical expressions that portray diverse artistic elements within the black communities. In the late twentieth century, the Hip Hop world gathered the elements of club culture to create chest-thumping musical styles. Clubbers primarily identified themselves through Hip Hop musical styles, such as "stripping" and "leveling," among others (Sommer 73). At a glance, “leveling” included synchronization of dance moves with musical beats that cohered with the nightlife. Hip Hop dance styles involved various rhythms that enabled dancers to experience, confront and celebrate their American consciousness.
The “House and Ball” culture is the main clubbing style in the all-inclusive LGBTQ. A major part of the group included African-Americans and Latinos (Monforte 28). They shared a common cultural form containing a diverse array of dressing and dancing styles. They embraced different club styles, such as the “Vogue” and “Ballroom,” that enabled them to create acceptance of whom they have become today.
