Healthcare professionals are exposed to psychosocial factors such as stress, burnout, hostility, hopelessness, and depression. These factors contribute to ineffective patient education as stressed and burnt-out health professionals have no motivation or patience to share knowledge, and skills and motivate patients to improve their health. The professionals offer uncomprehensive and hurried teachings to get over the activity. Also, healthcare professionals facing hostility, depression, hopelessness, and stress at work are less likely to connect with the patient, thus failing to encourage patients to change their behavior and attitude towards their healthcare (Farahani, Mohammadi, Ahmadi & Mohammadi, 2013, pp. 142-143).

           Patients experience psychosocial factors such as anxiety, depression, stress, family life, social support, fear of the illness, adherence to treatment, and lifestyle change. Their occurrence can affect a patient's readiness to learn as they feel nervous and fearful of their sickness or ability to learn. Lack of a social support system can adversely affect learning. The patient lacks the motivation and support from family members to change their behavior and lifestyle and adopt healthy practices for a healthier extended life (Callus, Pagliuca, Bertoldo, Fiolo, Jackson, Boveri & Menicanti, 2020).

           Personality styles refer to a person's consistent inclination and preferences based on their personality traits, behavioral patterns, and attitudes as defined by astrological signs, temperaments of Hippocrates, and psychological personality traits according to Carl Jung (Roberts, Luo, Briley, Chow, Su & Hill, 2017, pp. 117). To help patients with different personality styles, a health professional should understand their personalities to learn how to develop a relationship with them for effective treatment. A health professional should adopt self-perception to evaluate their attitudes and feelings towards the patient. Additionally, employing logic and emotions can make it easier to communicate with the patient.
