For this discussion, I'd like you to explore the area of political communication.
One example of political communication work is the "political backgrounder" - a type of writing that you might do if you work in journalism, for PR agencies or as part of a political campaign. You read about how to write a "backgrounder" piece in for this lesson week's readings.
For this week's discussion board post, please choose a person or topic of interest to you in the subject area of political communication and write a sample "backgrounder" piece to introduce us to the topic. Use the lesson week's reading as your guide.
As you read your classmates' posts this lesson week, what questions do you have? What information needs to be added, or needs to be made more clear for you as the reader?
