Causes and Impacts of the civil war in America
The civil war in America originated from differences between the individuals living in various parts of the country. The conflicts happening between the North and South America affected the regions significantly but in different ways. While the North region had had independence and fought against slavery, the South part opposed the idea because the black slaves worked towards their economic growth and stability. In this case, the Southern individuals wanted to take complete dominance over the African- Americans. Although the civil war in America was triggered by various factors based on the interests of different communities, the action solved the anticipated problems.
One of the causes of the conflicts in North America is the end of the anti-moral issue of slavery. The region fought the southern part to abolish the federal laws allowing slavery. While South America enslaved individuals and took them into forced labour to all the places they wished, the Northern parts did not support continuity of the activity. The difference between the opinions and interests of the two parts in the country resulted in major conflicts that ended up into a civil war. The people from the southern parts of the country wanted to show the impact of their authority in the eradication of the laws intending to end the slave trade (Oregon Public Broadcasting). This issue put the state into confusion on the institutions they should support and the one they should eliminate. However, enslavement is unethical and the southern could have been fighting a lost battle. The different interests between the two countries on the abolishment of slavery triggered the civil war.
Another factor triggering the war was the expansion of territories. In this case, the south wanted to take slavery into the western regions but the North wanted to keep the region for white labour only (Oregon Public Broadcasting). The southern wanted to take the issue into new states as opposed to the political wish of the North and the leaders at the time of the conflict. The idea generated from the south faced dominant opposition and the leaders could not agree to the deal. Consequently, the victorious election of Abraham Lincoln without a single vote from the south region rendered the part powerless and they gained an assurance that they had lost the battle again. “Feeling excluded from the political system, they turned to the only alternative they believed was left to them: secession, a political decision that led directly to war”.
The economic difference between the Northern and the southern regions during the era of tremendous growth in the country resulted in envy and conflicts that lead to war. The Northern region exhibited manufacturing and industrial development without limits to growth. The agriculture in the North was limited to small scale farmers that made tremendous benefits from their farming activities.
