The movie directed by Ronald F. Maxwell was released in 2003. It is an American drama that was adapted from a novel titled, ‘Gods and Generals’ by Jeffrey Shaara in 1996. The movie shows the war years. It shows the story of Major Jackson, a former professor at the Virginia Military Institute at the time when the war began. He joins the battle after he was requested to by General Barnard Bee to assist the Union against the Federal army. Jackson loses his life to pneumonia after losing his left arm.
