The Andrew Davies’ film, Othello, released in the year 2001 has shown a successful transformation of the tragic play written by Shakespeare, Othello, which was initially performed in 1604. It follows the actions of the renowned General Othello in the process of drawing his love for Desdemona, his wife, and watches it changing into jealousy because Iago misleads him to be confident of that she has an affair Michael Cassia (Daalder 71).
