Student’s Name Instructor’s Name Course Date Visual and Performing Arts: Alfred Neumayr Alfred Neumayr is an Austrian artist who was born in 1958 in Tulln. The artist went through school, and after his high school graduation, he became a printing apprentice. He then worked in his profession for a large part of his life. However, due to physical and emotional exhaustion, Neumayr was obliged to leave the job in 2005 whereby he produces his first painting. The painting was the beginning of his artistic pursuit that later developed into imaginative wishes. With the new urges and not wanting to go back to his previous job, Neumayr’s life was oriented. The piece elaborates figurative representation where he draws figures that seem abstract with the first glance but later develop into a reasonable figure. In this art, he uses human figures and names it after the first human beings in the creation theory. Neumayr goes ahead to openly indicate the sexual orientation of the two figures found in the art by showing their genitalia. However, the artist’s expansive pictures do not limit the audience’s interpretation. In my opinion, the piece is interesting because it illustrates the...
