Setting Strict Rules Regarding the Roles of Novice Nurses

Research Paper Instructions:

While the implementation plan prepares students to apply their research to the problem or issue they have identified for their capstone change proposal project, the literature review enables students to map out and move into the active planning and development stages of the project.
A literature review analyzes how current research supports the PICOT, as well as identifies what is known and what is not known in the evidence. Students will use the information from the earlier PICOT Statement Paper and Literature Evaluation Table assignments to develop a 750-1,000 word review that includes the following sections:
Title page
Introduction section
A comparison of research questions
A comparison of sample populations
A comparison of the limitations of the study
A conclusion section, incorporating recommendations for further research
Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center. An abstract is not required.

Literature Review Nurse Bullying

Organizations have the obligation of creating a conducive environment which, in turn, maximizes the production of the employees. My project will deal with the elimination of nursing bullying in hospitals and, especially the novice nurse. Such nurses are allocated all the tasks by the senior nurses regardless of whether they are familiar with the task or not. This is bullying because a novice nurse ought to be taught the manner in which the simple and complex hospital procedures are carried out before being allowed to attend to patients on their own. Among the solution that I identified regarding this problem is for managers to set strict rules regarding the roles of novice nurses. The nurses should also be required to report any activity they have been asked to perform and, it is not part of their specified duties. This will ensure that the hospital environment is conducive for the novice nurses to work in and receive training. They will need the future senior nurses, and therefore, they should be a good example by ensuring that they do the right thing. Hence, this paper will focus on the comparison of different research questions, populations and the limitations involved. This will further create room to explain the importance of more research regarding the topic.
Research seeks to identify the relationship between various organizational factors and bullying (Blackstock, Harlos, Macleod & Hardy, 2015). Also, another research is made to show the clinical performance of nurses that have been exposed to bullying activities within the hospital (Courtney‐Pratt, Pich, Levett‐Jones & Moxey, 2018). These questions relate to the main study question which addresses he issue whether nursing bullying can be eradicated to ensure quality medical care to patients. All the studies indicate that an environment whereby nurses are not being bullied provides the nurses with an opportunity to accord the best care to the patients. Also, another study seeks to outline the outcome of the orientation process for new nurses (Pasila, Elo & Kääriäinen, 2017). Results show that this is the initial step to bullying in most hospitals and should be addressed to prevent future problems.
Research shows that the hospitals that have large numbers of new nurses at a given time report a lot of bullying cases as compared to the hospitals that do not have new nurses. This is an indication of the fact that the bullying is mostly done on the workers that are new in the hospital. The workers would require some time so that they can get used to the hospital protocols. As a result, this would reduce their chances of being bullied. In addition, a few cases of bullying have also been reported in the case of senior nurses. This is an indication of the fact that most of the bullying is done on new nurses.
As well, among the limitations of the study is coming up with a strategy that will completely eradicate the issue of bullying in the workplace. Regardless of the number of policies set to compact bullying, there will always be cases of the same (Trépanier, Fernet, Austin & Bo...
