In 500-750 words (not including the title page and reference page), apply a change model to the implementation plan. Include the following:
Rogers' diffusion of innovation theory is a particularly good theoretical framework to apply to an EBP project. However, students may also choose to use change models, such as Duck's change curve model or the transtheoretical model of behavioral change. Other conceptual models presented such as a utilization model (Stetler's model) and EBP models (the Iowa model and ARCC model) can also be used as a framework for applying your evidence-based intervention in clinical practice.
Apply one of the above models and carry your implementation through each of the stages, phases, or steps identified in the chosen model.
In addition, create a conceptual model of the project. Although you will not be submitting the conceptual model you design in Topic 5 with the narrative, the conceptual model should be placed in the appendices for the final paper.

Evidence-Based Practice Proposal - Section E: Change Model
Roger’s Diffusion of Innovation’s Model
During the implementation of evidence-based strategies, there is a need to have an appropriate change model that can be applied in this process. In this regard, Roger’s Diffusion of Innovations Model will be utilized. Since the goal is to eliminate or reduce Health Associated Infections, the model will outline the effective change process that can be used in enhancing the impact of the evidence-based solutions. The proposed solutions to increased cases of HAIs are the use of antimicrobial, such as antiseptic, for 12 months. This will effectively reduce the rate of HAIs in care facilities where EBP will be applied.
Rogers formulated this model and noted that four main elements influenced the diffusion of new ideas within organizations, which included innovations, communication, time, and social systems. Roger’s Diffusion of Innovations Theory was developed in 1962 based on social science concepts. The origin of the model was related to communication, which was used to explain how ideas gain momentum and spread within a particular organization over time. There are five major phases through which the proposed changes will be implemented as proposed by the adopted change model (ACI, 2015).
Knowledge: In order to curb the prevalence of HAIs, there is a need to teach stakeholders of the innovation or proposed solution. However, at this stage, the people lack comprehensive knowledge of the solut...
