Research Paper Instructions:

Personal Philosophy Paper
This assignment will allow you to articulate your own philosophy of education and organize the bits and pieces of a lifetime of being a student and observing the world around you. By bringing your philosophy of education to a conscious level, thinking carefully about it, challenging your assumptions, and organizing your ideas into a written statement, you will have a solid foundation on which to begin teaching. A well-developed sense of purpose, values, and underlying beliefs about teaching and learning will help to maintain focus throughout your teaching career.
To complete this assignment,
1. Think about your own approach and experiences in education ( I am a preschool teacher Assistant at Head Start) . Make a list of all of the things that are important to you as a student and to you as a teacher or future teacher. Consider why you think these elements are important. You may use your Reflection Paper as a basis to organize these thoughts. What will you do as a teacher to ensure that these important factors are present in your classroom and are reflected in your instructional strategies and classroom-management techniques?
2. Read about the major philosophies of education. You can find these in Course Materials links, use supplemental materials on Blackboard, or do your own research with electronic and library resources. Explore philosophies that match your beliefs. Begin an Annotated Bibliography to keep track of educational theory and literature.
3. Write a paper in which you discuss your beliefs in terms of the four philosophies and explain which of these resonates with you the most and why. Your paper should be well structured and logically organized to demonstrate how your teaching philosophy (i.e., values and beliefs) relates to what you will do in the classroom (e.g., instructional strategies, use of technology, role of collaboration, types of discipline, respectful rapport). This 5-6-page paper should describe your core beliefs about teaching and learning and how these beliefs will be enacted in the classroom. To support your ideas, provide specific examples and connect these to at least 1-2 specific philosophies.
4. Remember to cite any sources in APA format that you used to help you develop your ideas or that inspired your teaching philosophy.

Perennialism
Education's ultimate goal is to instill in its recipients a firm grasp of the Western world's core tenets. These concepts may be applied to situations in any period. In the same way, as the fundamental structures of the human and the natural worlds do not change, the emphasis here is on imparting timeless concepts and seeking unchanging truths. This unchangeable knowledge must be passed on to the next generation. The human mind is a complex and evolving part of the human body. As a result, the most fundamental goal of a good education is the development of one's mind (Kooli, 2019). Learners are expected to work hard to develop skills in subjects that will be useful for the rest of their lives, emphasizing cultural literacy. Masterpieces of literary works, scientific laws, concepts, and other soaring human achievements are highlighted. As a student, the main elements essential for maintaining a stable learning environment for the unchanging principles include; rationalism, self-discipline, and organization.
The students will be subjected to a learning environment that enables them to think critically and rationally about the aspect of developing critical minds. Organization and self-discipline are some core elements that enable the perennial environment to be fruitful and beneficial to both the student and the teacher. The aspect of self-discipline develops the students towards an aspect of lifelong truths mode and culture. The stipulated elements are believed to enable the students to engage in activities that help them develop the western civilization culture essential for solving most of the underlying environmental problems (Malik, 2021). As a teacher, a monotonous and dictatorial environment is adopted to teach the students. They are subjected to diverse learning materials, whether they prefer them. The main aim of the underlying perspective is to provide the students with the information that is good for them and not what they like. The instructional strategies that we believe are essential and viable fo our future teaching practice include direct and indirect techniques. These will enable the students to grasp the knowledge based on the designated philosophy.
Essentialism
According to essentialists, there is a shared body of knowledge that must be taught systematically and systematically. This conservative viewpoint centers on the need to inculcate high moral and intellectual standards in the minds of young people through formal education. Academic rigor and foundational knowledge form the backbone of the program. Even though Essentialists recognize that this entire curriculum may evolve through time, they share many commonalities with Perennialism. Education should have a real-world focus, enabling students to contribute meaningfully to society upon graduation (Sahin, 2018). The education system has to emphasize teaching kids to read, write, talk, and compute rationally to better understand and deal with the world's objective reality. Involvement in policymaking is not the responsibility of educational institutions.
Students must be instilled with the values of diligence, deference ...
