Relationship between academic integrity and writing
Integrity simply means the quality of having a set of morals and staying true to these principles. In the academic world, integrity refers to the quality of abiding by or adhering to the set academic principles and morality. For example, when given a task, a student is expected to deliver honest and original work. According to the National League for Nursing (2012), integrity involves demonstrating "honesty, respect for self and others, accountability, and self-growth." In the same manner, students are expected to showcase honesty, respect for themselves and others while doing any sort of writing. For example, they have to showcase that they have borrowed a piece of work or idea from somewhere. In doing so, one will be acting in a way that shows their respect and honor to their academics, which shows their academic integrity. Therefore, academic integrity cannot be separated. To satisfy academic integrity, one must satisfy the rules of writing. The two are inseparable.
Relationship between professional practices and scholarly ethics
Professional practices mainly involve one's conduct and behavior in one's career. How serious one takes their work, ease with which one responds to patients' demands, and commitment to one's work. These, among others, are part of what professional practice entails. Scholarly ethics involves the discipline and morals to deliver work that is original, especially within the academic realms. This means that one should do their due diligence and deliver coursework that is original. These two are inseparable in the sense that when one showcases great scholarly ethics, they will likely transfer the same to their professional practice. Integrity and respect to scholarly work leads to professionals who respect their profession as well.
