Most people often look at the technology the service provider employs before choosing it. The main reason is that the technology applied will impact the overall results. Since its launch in 2009, Stripe has been using different languages. The common languages that it uses are Ruby and JavaScript. The company often uses JavaScript for its front end (Jotform, 2022). On the other hand, it uses Ruby as the back end. The advantage of Ruby is it has great power to strengthen the backend services of Stripe. The common ones could include a dashboard, Stripe API, and Stripe.com.
Ruby is referred to as an entire object-oriented programming language that was set up in 1993. In most instances, it is usually open-source programming offered on the web for free. In most instances, it has many features that resemble Smalltalk. One difference that differentiates it from Smalltalk is that Ruby is a more convenient and easier way. The following reasons prompted Patrick Collison to choose Ruby as the sole language for the stripe backend. One of the reasons is it helped to modify the existing code and then add various lucrative features to individual Ruby-based solutions with ease. Ruby also offers the company a chance to have an entire free framework which gives most developers to have a solution that will be more convenient. The other reason for choosing Ruby is because it is usually based on MVC architecture, which usually instructs its viewers on how they will view the process they will employ to display results to its different users appropriately and efficiently.
On the other hand, various reasons are prompting JavaScript to be used as a front-end programming language. One reason for using JavaScript is that it is a lightweight and dynamic programming language. This is why it has been regularly used in web development since it helps implement client-side scripts that enable user interactions. Moreover, JavaScript also helps programs to create efficient network-centric applications. The other benefit of JavaScript is that it is fast since it usually runs immediately within the client's browser. Moreover, the JavaScript syntax is usually easier to learn than some programming languages. On the other hand, JavaScript can be employed on any web page, varying from most scripting languages available in the market.
