Thought Paper: Who Am I After Taking this Course?

Reaction Paper Instructions:

One of the chief goals of this course was to equip you to apply reading strategies and critical thinking skills to college-level academic texts. Everything you have read, done in class, and created and written about has been designed with this goal in mind. Now that we have come to the end of the semester, you are not the same person you were at the beginning of the semester. Each piece of reading, each discussion, and each assignment has shaped your thinking and has shaped you into who you are today. What's more, experiences you have had outside of the classroom have also shaped and changed you.
In this final exam paper, consider the following questions:
*Who are you now as a reader as a result of what you have learned? (Focus more on reading strategies for this section)
1.active reading strategy.
2.how to find explicit and implied main idea.
3. how to make a useful reference.
*Who are you now as a person as a result of what you have learned? (Focus more on reading content for this section)
1.culture identity(the two article i attached :Globalization as Americanization;Coming of Age in a Multicultural world)
2.Education and your future(the two article i attached:Purpose of education ;the case for curiosity)
This is a formal reflection paper that should include citations. You can choose to cite your textbook and any of the texts we have read in class. You do NOT need to do outside research and bring in new sources. There is no requirement for the number of texts you should cite; you should make that decision based on your own judgment as a writer (e.g. you know you should have at least one piece of evidence in each body paragraph).
Organize your paper appropriately. Include an introduction, body paragraphs that support your thesis and contain clear topic sentences (your point), evidence from the texts we've read (illustration), and analysis of that evidence and how it illustrates your point (explanation), and a Conclusion paragraph. Include a Works Cited page.
Length: 3-4 pages, excluding Works Cited page
This is the point:*You Will Be Graded On How Thoroughly And Thoughtfully *You answer the questions above, whether or not you include citations, and how well-organized and clear your ideas are communicated (including achieving the length requirement).

With information from around the world becoming easily accessible due to technological advancement, we are in a good position to learn almost anything and easily do things that we love. In this sense, I believe reading and understanding literature is very important and necessary for human beings. Through the course, I have acquired relevant reading and comprehension skills that I am sure will be useful in my life going forward. As a reader, I have become an assessor, an individual who seeks to understand the author's intentions, and an interpreter of information, while as a person, I am a global citizen and an evolving critical thinker.
As a result of what I have learned from the course, I am now an information assessor, an individual who seeks to understand the author's intention, and an interpreter of information. The course has equipped me with important reading tactics that have improved my ability to comprehend what the author tries to pass across. As a result of the course, I can assess the main ideas from different readings. I can assess whether relevant facts and statistics support the main ideas that the author is writing about. As such, I believe I am now in an advanced position to figure out the author's intentions by asking myself relevant questions about their work. I can deduce whether the main idea is explicitly presented or implied by examining information. The active reading skills that I have gained from the course have made me realize that through examining pieces of literature, I can even deduce what the author feels, particularly in instances where they use emotional appeal. In addition, assessing information and understanding the author's intentions means that I can interpret content in meaningful ways. Therefore, the course has been important because it has helped me learn important reading skills that will help me going forward.. As an active reader going forward, I am confident in my abilities to engage with, gauge, and understand the pieces of information I read.
As a result of what I have learned, as a person, I now consider myself a gl...
