Analysis of immigration cheap labor and LGBT rights in the USA
Immigration has become a delicate topic in the USA in the recent past. There have been raging debates on the viability and impact of immigrants into the country. The focus of President Donald Trump’s campaign was eliminating immigrants in the United States. In light of the Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender law, the debate has also been raised from all over the globe. Former president of the United States, Barrack Obama signed into law a bill allowing gay marriages in 2015. Since then, they have been accorded the rights and freedoms that have been received both positively and negatively. Following these debates, cases for and against immigration and LGBT rights cannot be overlooked. This paper puts into account an analysis of articles published in the papers regarding these issues.

Somin argues that there is a need for the government to consider the impact of abolishing immigration in the United States. The cons outweigh the disadvantages. If the country goes without these people, there will be a shortage of labor. Manual works are the leading sources of income due to its large scale nature. The majority of the individuals who do those jobs considered as menial are immigrants. Without them, the economy would come to a standstill. There is a need to put into consideration the ripple effect of this. Millions of families depend on these types of jobs for survival and taking away their source of livelihood will open doors for crimes. The crime rate would rise to astonishing levels that will on only make the situation worse. Countries across the globe have reacted to this move by Donald Trump's ballyhooed wall (Somin:washigntonpost.com). It comes across as selfish. This step is aimed at restricting movement which violates a person's freedom of movement. People have the right to go and work wherever they want and interact with whoever they want to. The idea of building the wall comes out as a selfish, dictatorial move. What would make other countries not kick out Americans living there? Other countries can use this to vacate all Americans claiming they are immigrants. I think there is need to remember the butterfly effect where one action leads to another.

According to the article (Tera :nytimes.com) there is a need to ensure that the immigrants are not discriminated in the workplaces. Car Bakery was under fire when the immigrants went on strike and crowded the bakery. Immigrants from other companies joined in the strikes demanding better treatment by their employers. The action by the employers was unfair. These people have genuinely worked and deserve to be treated well. They report to work just like any other average Americans, and yet they are not treated the same. The fact that an individual hails from a different region doesn't make them lesser human beings. Human rights cut across the globe irrespective of the region.
