Talking about population, health promotional approaches, and public health has recently become the center of most health research. Ensuring efficient public health services needs more than emphasizing emotional health; it necessitates a population health strategy. From this course, one can learn that health and its determinants are studied from both a theoretical and practical standpoint. The value of diet as health determinants is also investigated. The principles of public health, organizations and the agencies involved, and the inter-sectorial essence of current policies have been discussed in this course. Children must engage in healthy and enjoyable play regularly. Schools should ensure that physical activities are a common part of daily life; parents should participate in physical activity at home, at work, or both, and involve their kids; and the elderly must be motivated to walk, stretch, and develop their strength.
Parents should promote healthy eating, encourage parents to quit smoking for their children's sake, and encourage parents to engage in enjoyable outdoor activities instead of more screen time (Skinner et al., 2012). As a result, young children's family unit may become a powerful force for maintaining a healthier lifestyle. Amplifying parents' positive influence as a child's first teacher will help place a child on a safe course for the rest of his or her life. However, Americans' well-being lags behind most developed nations, with significant differences between racial and ethnic groups and the socially disadvantaged. Recognizing that improved and more affordable medical services may not be enough to solve this issue, interest in population health and its formative assessment practices, such as attitudes and environmental and social factors, has resurfaced. The course has deepened my critical that emphasizes the significance of culture, family, organizations, policies, rules, customs, and developed and natural environments. Consequently, health inequality is a social menace that needs to be addressed (Nutbeam, 2004).
Consequently, the health promotional approach entails the enhancement of good health, and the lack of quality health services necessitates several levels of action. It cannot be easy to implement such multifaceted initiatives in society. On the other hand, multigenerational interventions can enhance children's well-being and use parents' inspiration to raise healthier children to improve their health habits.
