American Politics in a Modern World Participation in politics is very essential especially in a democratic country like America. In a democracy, the leader should be one who represents the problems and the identity of the masses. It should be the people who decides and chooses for themselves policies and programs that would benefit, ideally, all who are citizens of the state. In today's society, more and more people are becoming inclined to being "politically correct" but true humanity goes beyond and is centered around being compassionate and kind. "Politicalness" is just another avenue to express different opinions that concern the well-being of the people in their society. The delineation between the rich and the poor cause imbalanced pressure on our politics. Since members of the higher class are more capable of supporting their politicians, the people are not represented properly. Usually, the rich are in control of micro and maco politics due to their power and influence. The poor people have no means of financially supporting their politician's campaign and advocacies.
