Shared Purpose and Values, Leadership, and Communication of the Organization

One problem that I have ever experienced in my organization is lack of proper communication throughout different departments as well as feedback and this leads to a lot of misunderstandings in the organization. lack of proper communication also makes the process become slower and therefore it takes more time for everyone to be on board with certain tasks.
What was the shared purpose of the group? How might understanding of this shared purpose help group members work toward a positive outcome?
The shared values of the organization were to achieve the goals and ensure that all the activities are in line with the mission and vision of the organization. through the shared goal it becomes easier for the team members to be aware of what is expected of them and therefore make the company successful. I my organization the shared value is to ensure that the customers are satisfied with the services offered. By understanding that the customers should be satisfied all the members are able to work knowing that the firs priority is the customers. Though having this in mind everyone is able to work together to ensure that the customers' needs are met.
What channels of communication were present in the organization? Were they effective? Why or why not?
One of the channels of communication used in the organization included face to face communication which was effective since the different members could air out their views and receive feedback. Another channel of communication included digital means for example emails. emails were not fully effective since some of the members did not read them in good time.
What role did leadership play in effective problem solving and organizational communication?
One of the thing my boss did to ensure that communicated information reaches everyone and in good time is by ensuring that different information were constantly and consistently passed on to different people. Additionally, people were encouraged to share their different feedbacks and also there was a safe space for airing out opinions.
What methods did you use or could you now use to improve organizational communication to solve the problem?
One method that I could use now to make communication easier in the organization and remove all barriers of communication that may cause misunderstanding is to use social intranet where communication is made simple and through one single channel. Through the use of social intranet communication can also be made to any employee no matter the location and this avoids confusion. Through the use of social technologies the other team members will become more productive and this will lead to customer satisfaction.
