Two Most Important Decision
Proactive decision-making is one area of operation research (OR) that has gained interest over the recent years. Besides, behavioral OR continues to be relevant not only in the lives of professionals but also in non-professional individuals wanting to make sound decisions. Research shows that adopting a proactive approach ensures effective decisions, self-efficacy, and life satisfaction (Siebert et al. 1171). Over the last three months, I have made important decisions that could change my life and the lives of others. I have encountered various alternatives that I would embrace but settled on advancing on specific actions in making such changes. Proactive decision-making seeks to address the process of generating effective alternatives. In this paper, I discuss eating healthily and reading at least a book every day as two of the most important decisions I have made in the last three months and outline possible alternatives, uncertainties, and values or preferences I considered when making each decision.
The foods that we eat define our ultimate health. I have decided to eat healthily over the past months as the process depends on forming a particular habit (Koch). While we may not like eating some foods since they never taste as good as we would desire, forming a habit of eating healthy foods such as garlic will ensure that we get used to the foods.
