1. You are now writing reading responses as part of your final research project. Choose an article that helps you ground or understand a concept in your research question.
In this two paragraph reading response, please do the following:
In the first paragraph, remind us of your current research question and what keywords you were using to find the article. Then, introduce the name of the article, the authors' names, and the journal source and year of publication. Then describe the context of the article--what was the article about? Then choose a direct quote from the article and explain its meaning to your readers.
In the second paragraph, talk about how this idea from the article helps you answer your research question. Does it help you understand a key concept or term? Does it help give you background information? Does it provide an example of something you are trying to learn about? Help us understand how the article relates to your interests.

In thinking about the different ways secondary sources can help us learn:
--defining concepts or terms in our question
--providing context for the problem we are exploring
--offering an example/case study of something we are exploring
--giving us an assumption or framework -- a lens-- for investigating our primary source research
Choose another source, OR draw further from the secondary source you already posted about, and write a reading response. Make sure you are explaining and contextualizing any quote you choose BOTH in the original article it comes from (what were the authors talking about and why?) AND in the context of your own research: how does this source, the ideas and approach of the author(s), and the quote you choose from the source help you think about your own research inquiry? How does it help you define, contextualize, explore, understand what you are trying to learn about
And does it offer any help for how you think about your primary source information? or what questions you want to ask?
Don't worry about answering to all of this prompt, just whatever makes sense for the particular source you're reading and the research question you're asking!
