Other (Not Listed) Instructions:

Provide a 150 word minimum response to each of the 2 postings of the classmates in regards to questions A and B.

Please note you can agree or disagree in your response with any of the responses from the classmates as long as you back it up with explanation and facts. You must use at least 1 source from class readings for each response at minimum and 2 other sources from class or outside of class.

In-text citations must be done in accordance with College Style Guide attached and not APA. (Questions A and B responses below have done citations appropriately).

  • QUESTION A: In 2019, President Trump directed the creation of a separate military service: a "Space Force." Based on the characterization of the space domain presented in the course readings, do you think the needs of this domain are best served by the creation of a separate service, or should space have remained a domain that is handled primarily by the Air Force?
  • QUESTION B:  The USAF added the cyberspace war-fighting domain to its mission statement in 2005.  However, in 2021 it removed references to both the space and cyberspace domains from its mission statement.  With the creation of the Space Force, this makes sense.  Based on its past history with cyberspace, do you think the needs of this domain are best served by the removal of cyberspace from the USAF mission statement?

Justify and support your answer using your experience and source support from the assigned readings.
