There have been concerns about the impact of violent interactive video games on children’s behavior. The Supreme Court ruling on the 2011 case, Brown v. Entertainment Merchants Association highlighted that even violence in video games is part of protected speech and California had no right to restrict access to violent video games (Kocurek).
