Write the name of the object and description of the activity/how you envision it being used by children during play and the play experiences you think it may inspire. 2. List and describe the different characteristics (that you have read about this semester or we have discussed in class) that you believe are essential for play to take place and how this object supports those characteristics. 3. Tell which domains of development would be addressed/enhanced by play with this object and why you believe that. 4. List important D.C. Early Learning Standards (formal wording and numbering) you believe this activity would be addressing. 5. Describe what makes play with this object developmentally, culturally and/or individually appropriate? The write-up should be a minimum of two, full, double-spaced, 12 pt. font, typed pages. Final Class Presentation (50 points) Your class presentation will take place on November 30 or December 2. Your presentation should be brief, no longer than 8 minutes, in order to have time for some class questions and discussion. Your presentation should include a demonstration of the use of the object of play, presented either:  As photographs in a power point document (of children using this object in the activity you have designed)  As large photographs mounted on poster board (of children using this object in the activity you have designed)  With our class students representing children and using the object in our class Whatever your method of presentation, it should show the object of play, as you describe it being used in your write-up. You should also select a couple of elements from your write-up/analysis to share with the class. Because of the time we have, don’t try to cover every element described in your paper, rather, select only a couple of elements to highlight
