For a business to blossom, some moral guidelines must examine both its ethical and moral principles and how the business conducts its transactions. These moral guidelines are business ethics, including government safety regulation, business responsibility to consumers, and advertising.
Pros and Cons of Government Safety Regulations
The government safety regulation guarantees workers' welfare, health, and well-being through the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) of 1970 (Besserman et al.). It ensures better working conditions for workers, guarantees safety improvements in the organization, and ensures health betterment for society in general. However, these safety regulations also have some disadvantages, such as requiring a large amount of administration work and having high levels of regulations that may hurt a country's competitiveness.
