All business owners and organizations must be able to acknowledge the rights of workers in the workplace. Ideally, the rights of employees vary from the type of employee an individual have-full time or part-time. Employees' rights are premised on federal employment discrimination laws, state laws, and the local laws that apply to a business. For instance, an employee has the right not to be discriminated against or harassed because of their color, race, religion, or sex (Davidov, Mark, and Nicola). Besides, employees have the right to receive equal pay for equal work and report any workplace discrimination without being retaliated against for doing so.
Consequently, from my employment experience company adhered to employee's rights, including equal pay for equal work, not discriminating against any employees based on race, religion, color, and sex, and the freedom to report or participate in discrimination investigation without being punished. However, at some point, the employer leaked my confidential medical information against the employees' rights. Ideally, employees have the right under the federal, state, and local laws, including equal pay for equal work, reasonable accommodation, and equality regardless of religion, color, race, or sex.
Personnel policies in companies are vital in implementing a consistent approach to management in businesses. Notably, personnel policies are rules and regulations that govern human resources or issues concerning personnel.
