Coaching Session
The Goal, Reality, Options, and Wrap-up (GROW) model is a consistent and flexible approach that can help coachees to respond to uncertainties and challenges in the contemporary workplace (Passmore, 2021). In the scenario at hand, my coachee wants to raise productivity in the workplace. When employees are motivated, they tend to focus on their daily activities and go beyond the expectations to meet the set objectives. For instance, they address minor problems on their own without taking more time to consult their seniors, leading to increased productivity. The paper focuses on helping my coachee to create a guideline for raising productivity in the workplace. Pre-Coaching Plan for a 45-50 Minute Session SMART Goals for This Session
A person will report to work every morning thirty minutes before the set time so that one can plan how to perform daily activities, respond to emails, and check in with team members.
In the next one and half months, an individual will increase sales by 10%.
Whenever a person encounters challenges that are beyond what one can handle, the best thing to do is to consult others to get the most appropriate assistance.
An individual will use thirty minutes weekly to interact with other workers informally. That way, it will be possible to understand them better and avoid unnecessary conflicts that might affect job performance adversely.
A person will take fifteen minutes at the end of every day for self-reflection and write notes on how to improve productivity and become more efficient.
Within the next two months, a person will add five customer success stories or positive reviews on the company website. How to Know Whether One Has Succeeded
The most significant thing about SMART goals is that an individual can know whether one has succeeded or not. For example, taking thirty minutes every morning to respond to emails, create a plan for the day, and greet team members enables an individual to meet daily expectations. The person will answer customer questions on time and build a good relationship with other employees (Islami, Mulolli, & Mustafa, 2018). In addition, within six weeks, an individual would raise daily sales by 10%. Self-reflection is crucial since it helps a person to keep improving his or her behavior and become more efficient and productive. Within the next two months, the individual will ensure that over five customers are happy and can give positive reviews for the products or services they received. Since SMART goals are specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and time-bound, it is possible to know what a person has achieved and what is remaining. Skills to Use
When helping my coachee to raise productivity in the workplace, it is vital to consider how things are done currently. In that light, the most significant skills to use are effective communication, active listening, and reflecting on whether employees meet their set daily objectives.
