Globalization and Climate Change: Impact on Mexican Avocado Farming
Executive Summary
Climatic change is one of the most significant long-term problems in the world. According to Leichenko and O'Brien (2008), greenhouse gas emission into the air is the main reason for the challenge. Poor management of waste by the different production companies contributes to the highest air corrosion compared to any other pollutant. Globalization is the reason for climatic change in the world. Before the exposure of many countries to the rest of the world, the air was safe a hence, a conducive environment. Global exposure introduces the world to industrialization and business. Industrialization entails the building of production companies that causes high pollution. The pollution then ends up affecting the climate forcing significant change with time. For this reason, Leichenko and O’Brien (2008) claim that the framework between globalization and climate change has a solid connection to be ignored. The two topics need to be discussed together to come up with a permanent solution.
Globalization and climatic changes have both positive and negative impacts on the world. Despite introducing industrialization and business, the aspects brought inequality. The inability to create balance in terms of benefits makes the framework less effective. For instance, in Mexico, the states located and the North benefit more than those in the South (Henrich, 2013). The high interest of investors in the North than South makes them benefit more in terms of job opportunities and business than the people in the South. The lack of government structures to ensure fairness creates a situation of winners and losers.

Literature Review
Introduction
The connection between globalization and climatic change is wide than it is addressed. The global environmental change has mainly come about because of the desire of countries to explore global resources. Leichenko and O’Brien (2008) say that globalization and climate change are two frameworks that influence each other and must be addressed as one topic. The areas of discussion affect the world both positively and negatively. They create a situation where a community will have both winners and losers depending on their position. According to Young et al. (2010), global exposure leads ...
