The improvement of quality of patient care is an important aspect in the medical field. This paper provides a summary of the article written by Affeldt (1980) on Joint Commission Accreditation of Hospitals (JCAH) approach to patient care quality improvement.
The article’s main focus is on the quality assurance standard that was approved by the JCAH to help hospitals in integrating their quality assessment efforts.
