Developing an Evaluation Plan and Disseminating Evidence

According to McCormack, et al. (2013), dissemination in the field of public health, means “the distribution of information and materials to specific public health and clinical practice audience.” Most of the times, even when an evidence-based research is proven to be accurate and useful, dissemination could be slow and inefficient (Carpenter, Nieva, Albaghal, & Sorra, 2005). To circumvent this problem, it is important to have a proper evaluation of the project and dissemination of the resources. According to Jacobs (2012), a formative evaluation should always include the analysis and foresight of the research's impact and outcomes in a particular community to be targeted. In line with the proposed research – fall in elderly in acute care facilities – it is important to know if the proposed intervention is “feasible, appropriate, and meaningful for the target population” (Jacobs, 2012). Following from this, it is important to know whether the proposed intervention would help reduce the "fall of the elderly" in the most efficient and convenient way possible. Taking these into consideration below is my research strategy.
