Introduction
An individual is likely to fall sick at one point or another. Even though there are different health conditions, one of the most common illnesses that have attracted much attention is myocardial infarction, also known as “heart attack.” This condition occurs after the obstruction of the blood flow of the heart muscle, known as myocardium, by the partial or total blockage of the coronary artery plaques or atherosclerosis buildup. One of the interesting features of the following condition is that even though there are some instances in which it can be "silent” and remain undetected, there are other instances where this condition can be catastrophic, making the person suffer from hemodynamic deterioration and causing sudden death. Since every individual is likely to have this condition, it is critical to have an in-depth understanding of it for people to know the signs they should check and seek treatment before the condition worsens.

Even though people have been suffering from Myocardial infarction for many years. For example, research shows that this disease has existed for more than 4000 years. Even though this disease has existed for many years, it is still unknown. It was still the 18th century when individuals started researching this condition. For instance, in the 18th century, an English physician called John Hunter painted the clinical picture regarding chest pain which he referred to as angina pectoris. He highlighted that the following symptoms were usually triggered by anger. He, therefore, complained that his life was in the hands of the individual who chose to tease or annoy him.
Coronary syndromes, sudden death, and strokes can be traced back to antiquity. Different historians and experts from varying disciplines have treated this condition. By the start of the 20th century, most people viewed heart attack and myocardial infarction as one the causes of death. However, during this time, there was still a delay in understanding it as a syndrome that the person can still survive not yet been attained. The following awareness was finally attained and diffused in the practicing community in the 1920s. After this instance, coronary disease recognition was greatly impacted as an epidemic and preventive cardiology. Since, during this time, the coronary disease was a new pandemic, few pioneers viewed it as a cause and believed that a changed environment mainly caused it.
Later in 1929, Samuel Levine published a clinical series providing information about AMI patients. He represented that cardiac arrest was mainly attributed to heredity, obesity, gender, diabetes, and hypertension. Levine also noted the adverse effect of cardiac arrhythmias during the AMI (Teixeira et al., 2013). In this instance, he first introduced the patient monitoring concept.
