Your research project should be a summary and synthesis of a current issue relating to reconciliation with Indigenous communities in Canada. Specifically, you will select one of the Calls to Action as written by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada. This will be the topic of your research inquiry. ( This is just for reference, you do not need to write the whole report, only the annotated bibliography.)
For the annotated bibliography,
a. Select three sources: one from TRC website, one scholarly article, specifically about Canada’s indigenous communities published in a Canadian scholarly journal within the past five years, and one newspaper article. If you find one of the articles listed in the course outline useful, you can use it as one of the three sources.
(I have already found the scholarly journal, it will be listed in the outline, you just need to find one from the TRC website and a newspaper article.)
b. Formulate a preliminary thesis statement, based on the contents of the sources you have selected. Remember that this thesis may need to be modified as you write the essay or read more relevant articles/sources.
c. Write an annotated bibliography. Begin by writing the reference in APA format for each of these sources. Then, follow the reference with two or three sentences that should answer the following two questions: (1) what is the source mainly about? and (2) how is this source relevant to your paper?
Please make sure you follow my outline for the annotated bibliography as well, my thesis may not be correct so if there're adjustment needs to be made for the outline that's okay too, just let me know what part you have changed.

1 Introduction:
In this essay, I will be discussing the critical field of early childhood education and its enormous importance for Canadian Aboriginal families, with a particular emphasis on the Calls to Action #12. The federal, provincial, territory, and Aboriginal governments are urged to work together to develop early childhood education programs that are culturally appropriate for these families in response to this urgent call to action. The goal is to establish an environment in which Indigenous children can actively engage in the celebration and preservation of their traditional culture in addition to gaining a thorough grasp of it. These children's language development and sense of cultural pride might be greatly enhanced by such education programs, which would further the larger objectives of reconciliation and Indigenous cultural renewal.
Research question:
I will be addressing this research question throughout my essay:
What are the possible challenges in the development and implementation for early childhood education programs for Aboriginal families?

I will be using the article to examine the benefits of early education programs. The article discusses the intents and rationales
