Comparative Film Analysis
Introduction
"The imitation game" is a film produced in 2014 presenting a historical drama directed by Morten Tyldum. The film focuses on the scientific evolution of computers. The ancient first machines were bulky, as indicated by the movie. The film also portrays the movement and fights of the ancient warriors during the cold war in Europe. The movie is more about the scientific evolution of communication machines such as computers and transportation devices such as bicycles, vehicles and aircraft. In another film, "no highway in the sky" by Henry Koster, released in 1951, engineer Theodore Honey indicates that an aircraft built by a firm he works for has a high possibility of crashing. However, the plane does not crash, making the viewers question the engineer's sanity. Thus, the movie indicates the curiosity of scientists and professionals about the evolution of technology. The paper outlines a comparative analysis of the two films.

Values and Ideas in the Films
The movie "no highway on the sky" presents an engineer who attempts to discourage the pilot as he predicts the crashing of the aircraft. Theodore Honey informs the captain that "if you don't turn back, the aircraft will crash in the sea". The quote indicates that Honey is a determined guy who values other people's lives. As a concerned engineer, Theodore Honey took the time to advise the crew. However, the pilot is a principled man who focused on pursuing the flight as he believed that there was no need for turning back. An indication that technology and aircraft transport emerged in society through determination and resistance. Some scientists were willing to save their lives while others risked theirs, leading to improved technology. The ideas presented by the movie include the study of the space where the scientist was curious to use air crafts to explore the space. The world was in fear, with some studies indicating no life on other planets apart from the earth. Therefore, scientists' curiosity makes them invent new technology.[Koster, Henry. "No Highway in the Sky." The Marlene Dietrich Handbook-Everything you need to know about Marlene Dietrich (2012): 78.]
On the other hand, the movie "the imitation game" reveals the desire of the world to make communication devices, specifically the computer. The scientist in the film indicates, "I will make a machine that to track and break any message every day". The scientists are determined to produce a successful computer like the aircraft in the movie "no highway in the sky". Both movies reveal values and ideas on heterosexual relationships as the male characters in the films have romantic relationships with females. The emphasis on hetero-sexuality reveals the traditional cultural aspects which discriminate against the homosexual community. Therefore, the two movies would be despised by the LBTQ because they appear biased. The film also reveals stereotypes of a male-dominated society where the males act as the bosses while women serve under the male leadership. For instance, in the movie "the imitation game", the female has to call the scientist "bo...
