Perhaps, one can attest to the fact that the film, Cezzane at Mio, certainly brought out the color palette; replete with scenes that sure got my attention until I was able to stand them. Although seemingly bland (at least, for me) with how the story went, at some point, the thing is I can’t help but notice and put myself into the film’s shoes and everything there is to learn and discover. For one, an obvious observation on my part is that the film depicted the rebellious tendency there is. For me, it struck as something not peculiar; that is, being and going against what has been established and to which people are accustomed to, is something that is part of us, of me, being human. It occurred to me, as a person who undergone adolescence, that being rebellious cannot be stopped. It is like everyone has to come to terms with.
Well, not quite literally. What I mean is, to be and to feel complete is to undergo changes at some point; never ever accept, all the time, what is in front of us. If there is something that can be done, then do it. Be an outlier. This is the case wherein the film, it was explicitly demonstrated that there is something radical; artists need not conform to the status quo of the French Academy. This is where I felt the convergence of the “me” as a whole and what the movie depicts, somehow reassuring and pleasant. I did not really focus on the interrelationship between the characters.
